I stumbled across researching building a BBC for a 68 Coupe. I wanted efi but a traditional appearance. There was an article on the Vetteweb about a 454 build using this kit and it worked well and was easy to install. 6pack press release V7.pdf
I talked with the company and they seemed very knowledgeable and friendly.
Im about a year away from doing anything with the 68. I have a 65 Coupe eating all of my hard earned money. For the 65 I did a high end Dart SBC. The 68 will either be a BBC or LS.
Yes it fits. The vetteweb build highlighted that the TBIs were shorter than the old 2 bbl carbs. This allowed for a highrise manifold to be used with the TBIs and still fit under the hood. The article purchased an assembled GM 454 shortblock and bought some nice AFR heads and a decent cam. The motor dynod at 650 hp and had no install problems.
