Default new power window question

I've read all the pw posts but haven't seen this issue. I have 13.8 volts to the motor connector when I activate the switch either way. The motor will work if I run a wire straight from the battery. When I plug the connector to the motor it doesnt work. One would think its dirty connections but I cleaned them and still doesnt work. Any idea what else could cause this? Motor is grounded because it works when wired direct. I've had the regulator out, clean tracks, and tested motor on the bench.

It's likely bad connections in the switch. When you have the motor plugged in and activate the switch, you will likely find the voltage much lower.

Default one more question

Think, I about have this whipped, right side works great after new switch and cleaning tracks. Drivers side motor was shot. When I replaced it and spring I marked the regulator and thought I put the motor back exactly as the old one was. However now I can only line up two holes on the mounting bracket. After looking at pictures and diagrams I suspect the if I remove the motor I can line up the bottom hole with the one in the door. I have bolts in the top two wholes. Does this make sense or am I wasting my time removin the motor?
