Default Clutch Pedal Return Spring:What's Missing Here?

Sorting out my '71 LT1 that I acquired in June.
I wanted to check the clutch pedal / throwout bearing adjustment and discovered that the clutch pedal return spring on the "Z" bar is missing.
I see the hole in the arm of the "Z" bar to attach one end of the spring, but looking under the power brake booster, looks like I'm missing the other attachment point. What's missing here?

Not sure if your pictures show it but there is a ridge on the firewall with a hole where the spring end is inserted.

You're also missing the anti-rattle springs on the rod that goes between the z-bar and clutch fork.

Thanks for the replies.
Anyone have any photos of the bracket on the firewall?
I see the attachment point in the AIM, but don't see this tab on the firewall.

Don't know how you are going to get that bracket back on the firewall and is the hole filled in the z bar arm where the other end of the spring goes ?

The hole is there in the arm of the "Z" bar. Looks like the bracket is missing under the clutch rod. The yellow residue in the photo appears to be dried adhesive where the bracket mounted. Going to the Paragon catalog to see if the bracket is available.

Is this the pic you are asking for?

I thought the return spring connected to the bottom of the Steering column/firewall mount, via a small hole drilled in the bottom of the flange ? ....I will have to look tonight.

Frankenvette, the bracket you're showing is for the transmission interlock cable, which is also missing on my car. Probably removed when the Hurst shifter was installed.
The '71 AIM shows a tab at right angles to the firewall (page L207) with a hole through it to accept the end of the spring. That tab is missing on this car. I need to look at a car to see what this should look like.

Hi,
Here are a couple of pictures of the clutch return spring on my 71.
It runs from a tiny hole in the the lift side of the steering column bracket to the arm on the cross-shaft.
1 picture from above and 2 from below.
Hope these help!
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,
We talked back in February about David Mayhew's car which I missed out on. Found this body off restored '71 LT1 in Michigan. Nice car but needs some sorting out. I'll send you an email with details about the car.
Those photos are exactly what I was looking for. The bracket I need is the one shown by Frankenvette, the interlock cable bracket.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Ron

Yes, Bubba has been here for sure. Frankenevtte has the right pic as well as Alan. These are the easy things to fix. Be sure to look long and hard at what else Bubba got a hold of!

Hi Ron,
I'd be very interested in hearing about and seeing some pictures of your car.
LT-! cars certainly are special.

Alan,
again great photo's.
You should write a restorers guide.
The photo's speak for themselves.
Great contribution.
