I went on Corvette Central to buy a new Accellerator Cable, it has been discontinued, I don't a a tri power but they have a cable for that, will it work or is there a substitute out there? Thanks
Do you want a correct part? If that is not important, and judging by your post it may not be, Lokar makes some very good cables and brackets that in my opinion are better than the oem. Certainly more affordable and adjustable. YOu have several options if aftermarket is ok with you.

Not looking for OEM, just want my car to go!
I remember my buddy in high school had a sting tied to the throttle linkage and he would put the string in his mouth And in the morning we would cruise the front of the high school before class started. He was showing off and he pulled the string and it set him back and he was out of control and almost crashed showing off

This is what I used on mine. I did a small bit of engineering for the firewall bracket. Mine is a BB with an Eldebrock 750 and had bubba hack job on the bracket at the carb. Check the instructions on the sites below to see exactly how it works. I cut the cables with a Dremel cut off wheel running at full tilt. I got clean cuts this way.
