...if Richmond Gear yokes, such as this one sold by Summit, are made in America vs. off shore? So far I'm not finding any yokes made by Spicer (discontinued some time ago) out there and I really don't want any cheap stuff connecting my TH 400 to my driveshaft. My yoke needs to work with the correct strap style Spicer 1330 U-joints. Here it is-

Excellent, thanks! Just pulled the trigger. Nobody else seems to have these made by Spicer, so that really helps.

I hope this yoke won't be used in your corvette - without the straps to disconnect the driveshaft from the yoke, you won't be able to install it unless you pull the rear end or the motor.

Larry is right.. I'm sure you can finagle a way to get that u-joint installed on the car, but it isn't going to be pretty. You need strap yokes. I didn't even think of that. :\

I just went through this exercise a month ago and it slipped my mind until he brought it up.

Awesome that the guy was cool about it though!

Here you go:

BTW, you'll need a 1330/1350 conversion u-joint. Spicer makes them.

Thanks to both of you. The Mark Williams part was mentioned to me by one shop as an option. If I was planning on making more than a handful of 1/4 mile passes I might be able to justify spending 3 times as much on it, including shipping and the new U-joint. However, the car will lead a pretty easy life after a few more runs.

redvetracr- I ordered a part through a local shop today. I hadn't heard back from you and I want to get this work cranked out ASAP. I certainly would have considered your offer if I hadn't ordered before your post. I appreciate the effort.
