Recently (about 2.5 weeks ago) I had my brake lines worked on for my '75 stingray. New rotors, new brake booster, new calipers, and pads.. the brakes felt a little stiff for about a week or two (as new brakes should) and starting today all of the sudden they feel REALLY loose again. The pedal is going to the floor with them just barely stopping the car. They're making a slightly screetchy sound too at times.
I took it to a place in Venice Beach, CA when I got it fixed thinking I was getting good work for a good price but now I'm not so sure.. anyone know what might be going on and if there's a mechanic / maintenance in Los Angeles area you could refer me to?
possible leak somewhere and resevoir ran dry, check resevoir and fill as needed. try and park in a garage every time after driving. a garage with no carpet etc. look for wet spots. then after fixing, bleed system again
Check the MC like Doug 1 was saying, if the fluid is down, that could be the problem, check rubber brake lines to see if leaking, check under car to see if any brake fluid is leaking under car or tires, could be loose caliper line.
Could be a lot of stuff, but I'd put my money on rotor run out. That will cause it to "suck" air into the line as well as work OK for a while then fade...

^^^^^ bingo!
first thing to check after verifying the master cylinder is still full.
what calipers did you have installed??? O-ring or regular?

If you took it to a shop who's not familiar with these cars, I'd guess they have no idea about runout on C3's. Excess runout will cause air to be sucked into the system causing exactly the symptoms you have. The type of caliper (O-ring or regular) is irrelevant to this issue.
