I've spent some time looking myself. For me, my favorite by far is the 82(i think?) built into the rear bumper. So to get that look you have to purchase the entire rear bumper assembly for $300+ dollars. I have a 78, the pace car spoiler that came on that is a little bigger and bulkier then I prefer. But still looks better then no spoiler at all. jmo
I will agree that a small spoiler on a '74-77 car looks better than that rounded-off tail. (I had a '74 and never liked the back end.) But, those big, sculptured 'jobs' just don't look right on a C3, IMO.
Not a big fan of a spoiler on a C3, other than a little lip, which I haven't seen done well. Best of luck but please don't ruin the look, C3's are classic!
This is how my vette came. I don't really love it, but it's much better than any other spoiler I've seen on a c3.
My Vette came with something similar to this but taller!!!
Removing it was the first thing I did when I got it home. I'm really not a fan of spoilers on these cars except for the PC type spoiler...
Mine will probably have the much-maligned high, rear spoiler.... the conclusion I came to was this. I analyzed how silly those spoilers looked, then analyzed how silly I'd look sliding backwards off the nearby race tracks.... it will be adjustable (so I don't pay a mileage penalty when I'm not at the track), but it will be above the roof line.
Splitter on the front, belly pan, and high mounted spoiler... yep, I'm rice AND Bubba

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Tho much in this line of body accessories is primarily cosmetic, the PC aero front dam and rear spoiler package is definitely functional, tho the dam needs additional bracing for frequent/sustained high speed usage. That said, I don't care for the vast majority of other such avaliable kit.
My '76 has the 1980 styled fiberglass front and rear bumper covers from (site sponsor, don't want to ruffle the forum police feathers) Ecklers. Both have been glassed in with the body.
Now that's what I'm talking about Palmbeachvette76! that's exactly what I want to do one day to my 78. including filling the seams. good job, great looking ride!
That is a beautiful looking car. I love the look of the 80-82 bumpers on the older cars.

I'm not a big fan of the Tall Spoilers either. However the Greenwood Widebody cars of the Mid 70's were the first I knew about on a Corvette and yes they did serve a purpose. They came out way way before any ricer ever thought of it. I used to laugh at Dodge Daytonas when I used to see one on the street, however if I were to see one on the street today I wouldn't knowing what they are worth.
I personally don't care for those kinda spoilers on vettes. Those are usually what you see on the 17 year old's japanese car(my son has mitsubishi 3000gt,lol). That car is nice, the lines are eliminated,,,,I'm still trying to decide on the healdlights being smoothed over? I've eliminated mine as far as function, so smoothing them off is an option, just not sure I dig it?
