Need a measurement please
A prior owner glassed in the rear valance. I need to locate the exact correct opening for the rear exhaust. Would like a measurement from inside edge of right pipe opening to inside edge of left opening. Also would appreciate outside edge to outside edge measurements.
Would like more than one helper here, since I'd like to measure twice or more and cut once.

Hi f,
Is your car a 68-69 or 70-72? I believe that dimension is different for each group.
I think in any case I would begin by stripping off the paint and then scraping off what ever filler or glass was used until the original seam can be seen.

You may want to drop the spare tire and cover and take a look from the "ugly" side. Sometimes there is a very defined bondo line on the inside that will make the job a lot easier to assess.

Not really necessary to drop the spare just to take a look. Crawl under and you are likely to see where the PO fiberglassed over the stock exhaust openings. Corrner of each fender and each corner of the valance panel.
