Default Exhaust system

I’m working on the exhaust system.
Which will be better Flowmaster or Magnaflow?
I want something loud when accelerate but quiet and smooth when cruising 60 m/h.
Thanks

Lot of that depends on the model muffler you get from each manufacturer. How loud do you want it... etc. Exhaust system opinions are like are like peoples favorite colors. You will get a lot of different advice. I prefer Flowmaster sound, but Magnaflow is good also. They all have their own distinct sound. Go visit youtube and listen to some different set ups.
Also, is your engine stock, headers? will also determine the sound and decibal ratings.
Good luck.

Recommend going to an auto show or find a couple vehicles around town and listen in person to what they have. You tube videos are okay but the sounds isn't always that good on the videos.

A crossover tube of some sort will definitely improve the flow and reduce the sound at higher RPM's.
I put the Corvette Central 2 1/2" system with Magnaflows (on a '74 smallblock) and was unhappy. It was too loud for my taste. For ten minutes, it was thrilling. After an hour on the highway, it was just too much. I was considering earplugs. I was thinking about going back to stock mufflers.
Then I went down to the local Meineke Muffler shop on Route 22 in Mountainside, NJ, (Nice shop. Nice guys. Nice job.) and had them weld in a 2" H pipe right behind the center crossmember. Slightly improved around town. But definitely improved on the highway and at WOT. The exhaust sound is also a bit less rowdy. More civilized. I might miss that. I had to richen up the idle a bit afterward.
Now I can live with it.

I too have the CC complete system with headers and Magnaflows. But I love it. It doesn't seem at all too loud. Just right. I don't have a heavily modified engine though. Just a newer crate engine.

i have flows on most of my cars and love them. They have so many different types of mufflers to choose from you can't go wrong.. Give them a call and they will get you dialed into the right one for your particular taste~!

I installed a Magnaflow system on my 73.
The sound is not defining on the highway but you can hear it when I really get on it.

As said go listen to some in person.
Probably wont notice power difference unless highly modded/track

Magnaflows plus x pipe = not very loud until you hit it. If you want louder go with Flowmaster 50's.
