Default Replacing fuel sender '71 Vette

How much of a job is it to replace a '71 fuel sender . My gas gauge reads
full all the time, I wouldn't mind if was full all the time . I ran out
of gas last Sunday . After talking with a few people I decided
I better ask someone who knows and has an idea what they are doing first.
Thanks in advance .

Hi LD,
Before you replace the sender you may want to test it.
If you google "Willcox gas gauge" you'll see a link to the Willcox site and an easy test procedure.
No sense replacing it if it's not necessary!
Regards,
Alan
