Default Headlight difficulties

Hi,

I have a 75, and the front low beams flickered and cut out on me the other night, but the high beams and all other lights seem to be working. My running/tail lights and all the interior lights are working, just not the two front lights.

I am going to try to replace the bulbs, but from what I can see they do not appear to be burned out, and I don't know how likely it is for both headlights to fail at the same time.

Is there anything else I should check? If the fuseable link burnt out would it take out both the low and hi beams?

Thanks for any help!

If you use an ohmmeter to check the bulb filaments and find them to be good, either your headlight footswitch has failed internally or the power wiring from it to the lo-beam lights has a break in it somewhere after the footswitch.
