HI I have my 1st vette(a 69) I see it has no stingray name's on fender's , corvette letters on rear, badge's on front or gas cap lid. I do not see anything that shows it ever had them (bondoed holes on inside etc) were there any C3's made w/o all of this and that were not a stingray??:
Since they are all missing, a PO probably went out of his/her way to get all the chrome/stuff off the painted areas. It's also possible that the car had some damage (like the front clip) and the new fenders didn't have the holes drilled in them, yet.
You need to decide if you like the 'clean' look, or if you want to put it back with the original badges. Adding the badges/letters will be somewhat costly and troublesome...to get everything back where it belongs and look right.
Hi Steve,
I really believe all 1969 Corvettes left St.Louis with the nose and gas lid emblems, the Stingray script on the front fenders, and the Corvette letters on the rear panel.
I think your car has been 'smoothed' at some point in it's life. Is there any hint of replacement body panels?
Regards,
Alan

No. It had them when it left St. Louis. Crossed flags on nose and fuel door; Stingray scripts on each fender; CORVETTE on the rear panel.
HI Ya'll thank you for the info, there is no sign of changed body parts and no sign of holes was trying to post some pics but it would not let me. I will try again soon.
Not possible. Yep, I said it! Not possible for that car to have come off the St. Louis assembly line in that condition. Check the inside wall of the rear panel from underneath, and I bet you will find bondo or other resin squeezed in through the holes for the letters....same with the fenders for the script badges.
