Just Google "complaints (company name, they usually change names after a dozen or so of their engines grenade I believe Blue Print used to be Marshall) " and you will get the low down on these crate engine companies.
Yes, the above link is a bing search. Yes Marshal is Blueprint and still in the same city. Blueprint engines is a supporting vendor for this forum. I will likely be history for these posts.
All genuine GM, Brand New not rebuilt Iron Vortec Roller Cam-lifter 350 delivered about $2100 ... DIY upgrade to about 400fwhp/tq for about $900 more ... don't simply think same ol', same ol' ... merry CHRISTmas y'all
Telling the truth will never get you in trouble... That is what my mom told me when i was very young. Yup, you guessed it, she was lying to me!!!
Right, I would never make it as a politician. I call it like I see it and don't really care if people don't like it as long as it is true. This used to be the way things were and an admirable quality.
Any specs or component lists on these and prices. Are they internally balanced? I know there was a post on here 5 years ago or so that was a horror story. This is the only reference I have. MsVetteMan. I found update threads but the original thread documenting the failure and subsequent ongoing 50 + page fiasco mysteriously disappered.
No vendor bashing intended but members deserve all info even from "supporting vendors"
63mako,
Did you have a certain engine part number that you were looking at for specs and a component list, depending on the engine that you are looking at the parts could change. This would also go with the engine being internally or externally balanced, we do have engines that are balanced both ways here. Also BluePrint Engines has been building engines for 20+ years and we have not ever changed our name in that time frame, Marshall Engines is our parent company but we are a separate business from them. Let me know if I can help with any of your questions

Thanks for all the input. Since building a cheap SBC doesn't seem possible I am going to do an LS conversion. Plenty of good used ones around for the money and can do the swap and keep it in the budget. My original plan was to go fuel injection and the LS makes the most sense.

Went to local bookstores, didn't have this issue left and not available to buy the scanned PDF on the site yet.
Other than the head swap what cam did they swap in and other upgrades. As you said this is a new block.
