carby gasget
I have a 74 with a rochester carb on it. Recentyl I brought a rebuild kit for the carb and with a few minor problems it came apart and went back together resonably well....... The question I have now is,[ when I went to put the carb on the intake manifold I noticed the supplied gasget is alot different from the old gasget. So will it make that much difference?

I'm going to suggest that you send this same request for advice and the photo to Lars via e-mail at V8FastCars@msn.com. My specific concern is not for the difference in shape, but the missing notches at the perimeter of the primary throttle bores. I'm sure the he would know if that kit gasket would work as well as the one you removed.
