I sent my Q-jet carb out to Lars for a rebuild. I couldn't be happier with the results. My engine is basically stock other than intake and headers. I can already see that my mileage numbers are going to climb. She accelerates and idles so smoothly. It's like driving a different car. This is some of the best money that I've spent on this car. If your having carb problems invest a little money with this man. He has many tuning papers available as well. Very specific technical information that you can use.
Lars rocks!! Got him to re-build my quadrajet and stock distributor... Car cranked on the first turn of the key (actually, push of the momentary switch) which was awesome!!!

Glad to hear the carb is working well for you! It felt really good on the test engine, so I was hoping you'd see an improvement over what you had. Good job with the installation and setup!
Good Qjet guys are imossible to find these days
Looking for an older ride most likely will have one on there
I know where its getting sent when I need it gone through
NEver took the time to learn them but have driven some nicely tuned Qjet cars they are very nice to drive and reliable!

Sorry, but I don't. I don't have any way of running and testing the ECM-controlled carbs, and I don't rebuild anything I can't actually test. Henry out at Ole's Carbs can do the '81s, and he does a nice job.

Yup, got it sitting on the workbench, ready for teardown right behind a Roadrunner 440 carb and a Ford 351 distributor...
