Default Hood Hinges, how much play

How "tight" are the hood hinges supposed to be on the actual pivot pin?

With the hood off, I'd say there is a fair amount more movement that I'd have thought there would be. The hood opens and closes fine, lines up, etc.

Anyone (Alan?) have a picture showing how tight the hinge halves are to each other (including the spring washer)?

Thanks
Mooser

Hi mooser,
I describe the hood hinges as having 'no' play.
Regards,
Alan

Since I did the 'factory-look' blackout and body overspray on them no paint has been scraped of so I guess there continues to be no play in them.

Thanks Alan
I think I see the issue, the "spring" washer has either worn/bent/rusted away and isn't holding the two parts together anymore.

Time to take them apart and see what's what.

Thanks again Alan

Alan
When you re-did your hinges (I'm guessing you either re-plated or did you pick up a new set when you traveled back in time to get the rest of your car) did you take them apart and re-rivet them?
Thanks
