Default Trailing Arms and Diff rebuild

Have gone through and read all the threads on TA and diff rebuilds. I have decided to just have this part of the resto completed by a professional. Sounds like Gary, Van Steel, or Blairs. I am located in Montgomery Alabama. Shipping is what makes this so much more expensive. Any suggestions...who, where, cost to ship? Any reputable rebuilder closer to me?

Thanks.

Check with Chris Petris and see if he can help you out. He's in Scottsboro Alabama. Not real close but at least he's in the state. He does lots of Vette stuff as well as clinics for Corvette Central.

He does great work and is an all around good guy.

I just shipped my diff and trailing arms out to Mike (tracdogg2) for a full rebuild. Shipping was expensive from Maryland, buteverything got there in one piece. Should be getting it back by February for install!

You'd be wise to send the trailing arms out. I did the ones on my wife's '79, a number of years ago, following a highly detailed article that was in 'Corvette Fever' magazine. However, it was before I retired, and lost access to a full-tilt machine shop where I was employed....

Mike did a beautiful job on my rear diff.

Glen at Hillside Corvettes in NJ did the trailing arms. Great job and a great guy!
