Internal Header / side pipe coating?

i wonder if anyone has used it and the results? I have OBX sidepipes
on my 69 and don't really want a shield, does anyone think this could cut down the temp so the hunnies (and me) wont burn their leg? Thanks!!

I have the same setup. I'm planning on making my own inserts from some auger style inserts I bought. They are made for 3.5 inch pipe. My plans are to weld the inserts into a length of exhaust pipe, and use a layer of exhaust wrap over it before slipping them into the side tubes. I don't know how much this will help, but I had the drag pipes on my Harley wrapped and I could touch them after a long cruise without injury.
