What color are the Rally wheels on a 1974 Vette? Mine are black is that correct? They are GM manufacture with OE centers and aftermarket rings. I thought they would be silver like the older Camaro.
The Corvette Rally wheels were black [std.] wheels that were spray painted Argent Silver on the frontside, without any masking. That resulted in some overspray on the backside around the oval holes in the wheel.
Many of the Corvette aftermarket parts vendors sell Argent Silver spray paint. Or you can have some mixed up and put into spray cans at some of the 'full service' auto parts stores.
If I remember correctly Eastwood has silver rally wheel paint in a can, will probably try some of that. This car isn't a numbers matching restoration it is a basket case in progress.
The Argent Silver spray cans sold by the Corvette aftermarket vendors are much better than using a 'silver' paint from the local auto store. But there is a Duplicolor spray paint made just for wheels that is a 'silver-sparkle' color which would look great, if you weren't concerned about the 'authentic' look.
