What is causing this noise

it tends to stop by itself.

I love an Audio Daily Double.

I cant say that I can give you an exact answer, but I had a Barry Grant 850 that used to make that teapot noise at low rpm part throttle. Obviously this is a different animal as a qjet, but I can at least say that I dont think its something to worry about, although Im sure youd like to make it stop doing that.

There are a few q-jet masters on here, so hopefully this will bump the post up to the top and they'll see it

sounds alot like a vacuum leak around the butterfly shaft, try and see if there is any free play where the shafts go through the housing.
