Default LS motor Headers Again

OK still trying to find a set of under car LS headers that fit and don't drag the ground. Has anyone tried a set of CTS V headers for the Cadillac. I was told they hug the motor pretty tight and hug the trans pretty tight.

I am using the manifolds from a C5. These are supposed to be the best flowing that will fit C3 swap.
Do you have a picture of the CTS manifolds?

Gordon, what about asking Kooks to build you a set of their new 1 7/8" ss C3 headers with the top part made for an LSx engine? Might be worth a shot.

I might have to have a set custom built but the cost is a lot. I already have about 1100 into 2 sets that are pretty worthless right now.

Look at these http://www.holley.com/Application/LS. Manufactured by Hooker. Looks a lot like the C5 manifolds.

While I was attending SEMA last year I had a long talk with a guy at American Racing Headers. They make some excellent C5/6 headers and they had their CTSV headers on display. He said he would give me a great deal on a set of the CTSV headers. Their shop is in upstate New York maybe you can be the beta tester. My project is stalled at the moment for other duties.

I'm going to look into these. There is a shop nearby that does a lot of work with Vettes Camaros and CTS V for tuning and super chargers. They may have a set I can just try to see how they fit before I buy another set. I will stop by and see what they can do.

Seems like I heard on here that Gen IV F-body headers work.

What type did Riggs end up using? Or did he fab his own? I know he did that conversion where he can flip a switch and go open or closed. Pretty cool.
Sorry yer still having issues with these.

Yes it should be done but I have not touched the car much this past year. Going through a divorce and recently having to deal with a beach house that was destroyed in Sandy my time has not been focused on the Vette. Hopefully soon iwill be back at it but the car has pretty much sat still for 10 months.

As for the headers I do have a set of F body headers and they do somewhat fit but I'm hoping for a better fit on some others. I have had 4 different sets on so far and none really fit well.

Sorry to hear that man, do you think that Jeff could get DS to help in this area since they are looking to get into C3 products?

Talked to Jeff the other day about this and yes he did say DS was going to get into the Vette parts. So maybe in the near future there will be some available.

Gordon, I just scored a set of these for $175......at that price it might be worth buying them and modifying to fit an LSx engine.

I'd sell you my sidepipe ones I built but they were a lot of work and not sure I want to do it again lol. Plus the quality of my work is something only my mother could love.
