Well, I appreciate the advice. The crank is possibly getting swapped. Due to the fact as I said I'll be running a 100 shot here and there. Most people say around my horsepower range internally balanced isn't required, but nice to be asured. They say it's risky, and which I can agree on. Plus I'm not a huge racer. I've been to the strip only once. I tend to baby my vette. So I'm hoping that will help me in my favor. I can completely agree with you as to getting everything top of the line parts, and everything done correctly including internal balancing when it comes to racing motors. I just wanted a motor with grunt and quite some bite, (to my standards anyhow). It'll be the fastest car I've driven. Pathetic as it may seem but I'm excited. My ls1 camaro is finally slower than my 79 vette. Haha

But, I do have a question, what forged crank would you recommend? I bought the stage 2 383 with 470hp (mine is 460 because of dual plane intake option). And with the 100 shot somewhere I'd say mid 500's to the crank. Recommended companies?
