Even if he paid someone for a frame-off restoration... He's way over-priced.
Don't get me wrong. Nice car... real nice. And some sap will probably plunk down way more than it's worth. But mark my words... his price comes down or that thing sits awhile. :yesnod:

Juliet, what is a TCS? I don't think my car ever had one.
Trans Controlled Spark or Thermal Controlled Spark (I forget which). It's a little gizmo, about the size of a 35mm fil canister on the pass side of intake on a studded bolt about in the middle. It has vac lines carb going to it. It has electrical connection from the trans. What it does is prevent down shifting or something like that until the car is fully warmed up. I forget exactly how it functions, but that should give you an idea at least. It's one of the early attempts at emissions. ~Juliet

TCS - Transmission Controlled Spark.

It was used to control vacuum to the advance on the distributor.
Automatics and 4 speeds both had them.
You would not get any vacuum to the distributor until 4 gear (manual trans), or until drive (auto trans). Contolled by a switch in the transmission which activitated a device mounted near the carb. It had an electrical connector and vacuum lines attached.

Reason - Pollution control.

..also, shouldn't the chrome trim on top of the wiper door be painted?
I wonder if he remembered to paint in the inside of the "egg-crates" as well..

It looks like this guy's got "Ohio-Inflation" that seems to be the norm with asking prices from that part of the country - rhymes with Tro-Pream

That's just crazy. He'll never come close to getting that kind of cash for that car.
