I am here in Australia with my first Corvette, an 82 Silver Green inside and out. I have just removed the entire interior to put down Fat Mat (sound deadening sheeting) and when I put it back together apart from many leftover screws, I have these two items. I cannot remember if I took them off or they where loose/ not connected to anything.
I have two manuals and cannot find any Red, Green and Black wires that run together.

Here's a little help with the pics.
The light looks like a light that might have been used to light up the console. Not real sure about mickey mouse looking clip.
I searched that part number and came up with speedometer buffer sensor:

apparently plugs into the seedometer
sensor goes towards the drivers side of the speedo right next to the cable. If you contort yourself just right and can get your arms up there, you can get it on without pulling cluster.... ask me how I know. My car is missing some ducting for the dash though, so maybe thats not normal?
Thank you all very much. It was an easy fix once i knew where they went. when i pulled the speedo out i also found two instrument lights weren't working.
