Gasoline oder
Any thoughts?
Go up from there to where the fuel line enters the carb. Shine a light in there--very carefully--with engine running and see if the fuel line into the fuel filter/carb has any drips or leaks. (if that's how the ZZ4 goes together).
I had some issues a while back on my original stock carb. Removed it, and a lot of the carb screws/bolts needed retightening. Also, put a new base gasket on. Both of these solved my particular fuel odor issue.
Good luck.
really?? take a look at some street driven cars with Holley carbs on them, get back to me after the show, about all the fuel dump evidence on the intakes, fuel on the outside of the HOLLEY carbs.....
much less back decades ago, a good buddy I have kept in touch with since, worked for GEICO, on Western Ave. NW. Wash DC.....back then Ford ran lots of HOLLEY carbs....and so...the NUMBER ONE cause of fire claims....
you guessed it.....by about 90%......next was Qjet, after that WAY down the list was Carter.....
CASE CLOSED@!!!!!
