The wiper switch above the gauges: I read that it's easy to get the wiring on wrong. As I read the diagrams, it looks to me that the light blue should be to the driver's side. But there's a tab on the back of the switch and a tang on the wiring plug that seem to want to limit how far they will slide together and make contact. Since I don't want the wipers to run backward I just want to make sure I plug it together correctly.
Light blue to the left (driver) or to the right?
Hi 62,
In 71 the light blue wire was to the right side... the opposite side from the 'stake' on the switch. The tab and 'stake' make sense that way.
Same for 72?
Regards,
Alan

71&72 are identical so Alan's photo tells the story.
The purpose of the tab on the plug and the one on the switch is to prevent installing it incorrectly.
