I don't have a troubleshooting guide, but there is a plastic switch on each of the headlight mechanisms that turn off that light when the headlights are fully up. Check to make sure both of them are in place and working.
There's not much to the system- look for a switch at each headlight bucket and make sure that it makes good contact when the headlight is locked in the up position.
Hi I,
Does the warning light not come on, or doesn't it go off?
Check the electrical connection at the black plastic switch and also make sure the 'tab' on the door mechanism elbow is pressing the round rubber 'button' on the switch when the headlight door is open.
Regards,
Alan
Both switches are functioning properly. however I have no power at either connector when the ignition and the headlight switch is on. Do these switches (at the doors) make and break the ground? Right now i'm in the process of removing the gauges to check the bulbs. Where does the circuit get it's power from?
