Yeah Ive looked through them - Wilcox is a good vendor as well but the prices seem analogous...I am trying to decide whether to cut the halo panels for the locks or buy some... I doubt I will ever switch back but they are the orig. panels....
Parts ordered from Paragon Corvette! woo! Now just have to track down some panels... I agree on the sentiment of cutting as a last resort... anybody have luck with painting to match interior? If so - what'd ya use?

Just thought you might be interested, in case you were looking for a used pair.
Parts came in today for my conversion - will hopefully get out there this weekend and get the job done!
In regards to the weather stripping - will the be intuitive as to where that goes - I have not yet had the opportunity to look at it... Will I need glue?
Purchase any assembly instruction manual (AIM) for any year the lift out window was in production and follow the assembly diagrams. Purchase the AIM for your car and compare the differences in the two installations.
The AIM will list all the parts you will need for the conversion and their original GM part numbers.
Hi T,
The weather-strip is a bit of a bear to glue into place.
There's a thread right now about installing new weatherstrip in a 68-69, you might want to check it out.
Look for a recent thread by Dave27.

Alan

Thanks so much for all the help!
Please take lots of pics, I'm really interested in seeing how this goes

Is there anyone who has an aim that covers that that would be willing to post some pics for us?
Will do - it looks pretty easy - I looked at it briefly today. The parts needed are listed earlier in this post... that's what I went off to order. Started removing the necessary panels but ran out of day light... hope to get it done tomorrow or Sunday!
The install is straight forward.
Get your part together and install.
On later models, they did not use the latch brackets, the panels accepted the latches.
when you glue the weather strip gasket, use the window frame to hold it in place.
I love the open rear window.
Hope this helps.

Here is the Paragon info for the hardware:
P/N 4264 Weatherstrip - Need 1
P/N 4949 Lock Assembly - Need 2
P/N 6624 Wedge Guide - Need 2
P/N 8195 Locating Wedge Plate - Need 2
If your window doesn't have them, you may also need:
P/N 1588 Wedge - Need 2
I used common screws/nuts for the Wedge Guide and Plate. For the Lock Assemblies, I used j-clip style nuts.
I didn't do the tray either, so I can't comment on that.
