Replaced the ignition switch on my 77 last week, sparing you all the gruesome details, I finally have the car running, but the wipers will not turn off. Any ideas as to what I can do to fix it? I'm assuming it had something to do with replacing the ignition switch. I really do not want to drop the steering column for a 4th straight time

Assuming you had it out, are you sure all the connectors are plugged in snug at the bottom of the column? I'd check this before I tore it apart.
And... is it running hard.. like it' in high speed. If the connector isn't the issue post back and let me know.
Thanks for the response, was able to get to the connectors at the bottom of the steering column, they appeared snug. Either way, disconnected them, cleaned contacts as they seemed a bit corroded, plugged them back in and it worked. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated.

Good deal! Sometimes the simple things work... and I'm glad this was one of them for you.
