Directional drivers light stays on.

Hi all. Strange new development, the directional light on drivers side just stays on when turned on instead of blinking. Does anyone know what causes this? Passenger side is fine.

usually you have a burnt out bulb, one bulb doesn't cause enough resistance to operate the flasher,' asumming' the other way flashes, both directions no flash bad flasher.

Well, if it does not turn off when the steering wheel returns to center position, the cancelling cam-switch in the steering column has likely failed. There can also be some "strange" electrical incidents that can happen when a grounding connection in the car goes bad. So, check out the condition of the electrical ground lines, first; then dig into the steering column.
