Fixed antenna- Missing something
When I bought my car, the antenna was already broken off. So I bought a universal antenna from autozone, and tried to put it on- the antenna came with two adapters; one is a double-sides screw, which was too small for the hole in the antenna cable piece. And the other was a female coupler, threaded, which was a bit too big to fit into the cable piece. Also, the cable piece has threads on the outside, but is smooth on the inside. Am I missing a piece here? Or does something need to be pulled?

You just need to buy an antenna mast & nut from one of the reproduction parts places. It will slide down into the opening and have a nut to secure it in place. If this has been open to the elements as you described it may be difficult to get to go in.
