Default Front Grill True Color

Hello All,

Question: Does anyone know the true black color of the front grills for a 1975. I know it's black but is it flat, semi gloss, gloss, or high gloss. Trying to make this restoration as close as possible.

Thanks.

My best recollection is that it is bare black plastic. So, semi-flat black or satin black would be the level of sheen that should be present. Semi-gloss black is too shiny (IMO), and flat black would be much too dull.

I agree with 7TIvette, Satin Black.

Give them a good wash in warm soapy water, rinse and then dry to see what the original looked like.

Thanks, I had to let it soak in brake fluid to remove all the old paint, then soak in soap water. Thanks again.
