Default 1980 alignment
I have a 1980 that I just had aligned because we put new strut rods on it. Tires are pretty new. The alignment guy comes highly recommended and has worked on vettes, drag cars, etc. I got it back and it was veering left on the highway (flat sections). I took it back and he double checked it and when I got it back it's still doing it. Is there something else I should be looking at?

It veers when I let go of the steering wheel. Would that still be related to the steering valve?

I think to check the steering valve, you would prop up the front wheels, start the car and center the steering wheel. If it drifts or pulls to one side then it would be the steering valve. I have never done this but I think this is what I heard...

Then to adjust the steering valve, there are some info sheets on Willcox's site.

The work was done last fall and I'm 99% sure he said he did that. (the steering valve)

Could tires do it?

Yes they could. To check, rotate front to back.
