Default 1978 turn signal problem

Hi everyone. I was troubleshooting a turn signal issue and here's what I discovered so far:

1- Left turn signal (front and rear) were solid.
2- Right turn signal worked fine
3- Brake lights work fine
4- Riding lights work fine
5- I switched the bulbs in the rear around and now the left worked fine and the right was solid
6- Also after the switch and turning the right turn signal on, not only is it solid, but it is dim.

I am thinking there is a grounding issue and quite possibly a bad bulb socket on the right rear. It is just strange that when I switched the two bulbs around and also replaced both rear sides with brand new bulbs that the issue moved to the right side. If I try and switch bulbs again or wiggle the wires, it does not change anything. Now the only side that works is the left side.

Would like to hear your thoughts and if I should chase down a ground and replace the socket. Where is the ground located on the frame of a 78?

Thanks for your help!

Attach a good ground to each socket and see if that's the problem.
