red lights
so anyway, comments on red lights....
question is, in general, for the forum ....Does it seem that when travelling on a normal commercia highway you go from red light to red light, with most of them turning red right in front of you??? can't get 1/2 mile through a commercial area without stopping at least 6 times??? not that an occational stop is unexpected, but every damn light??? going the speed limit, or even slower on account of traffic....watch them all turn red just as you get to the intersection.....
wonder what that timing seqwuence on account of the safety mavens costs the country in added wasted fuel bill and increase in vaunted pollution???
must be some sort of federal law that sequences lights so no car can ever go through an intersection faster than 10 mph.....
I personally can't buy the arguement, too much observations over too many driving years....maybe I"m just bored or something, so I notice sh it like that.....seems they need sequence for rush hour all day long, quit wasting gasoline...

I hate to tell you this. But there are places in Ft. Worth where the lights are phased such that I can drive through downtown and never stop.
Unfortunately it's not like that everywhere.

I remember some old cowboy telling me flat out that 'you don't run no redlight in Dallas-FW....you be dead on impact'.....he was right....that's the way it should be....no bothering with 5 seconds of yellow caution, and making that necessary by putting the signals out of synch....
