Are you aware that those are cast iron heads? if you want to take a step up from the speedway heads, but aren't quite ready to lay down the cash for AFRs, here's the head you should be looking at:

Photo of my particular setup. I can't answer for every combination of heads and headers. These were (I think) something called ProTopline aluminum heads, made in Australia as I halfway remember, and Hooker SuperComp headers. You can draw your own conclusions.

As I said, a friend of mine is stuck with lawnmower sparkplugs for his particular combination (Edlebrock straight and Hooker).

that company has huge quality issues .... they used to be much better when they started out. (Almost thought they were same as pro comp as the older procomps were distributed as being from Australia but it was discovered they were made in china then sent to Australia to be distributed from there..) anyway I don't believe protopline is even in business anymore.

The dual comp springs that come with those heads are too much for the voodoo 262... I'm going with the same cam and am swapping these springs which are like 121# or 136# depending on if they are at 1.800 or 1.750on seat and 340+# where the recommended springs are 108# on the seat and like 260# under load..... those dual springs are more likely to cause issues and at the very least need to have the inner spring removed for breakin.
The good news is they are machined for the 1.450 springs recommended by lunati and the same retainers should work... mine will arrive today or tomorrow and I'll let you know.

champion rc12yc. it is the recommended long reach plug that also just happens to be used in some overhead valve small engines. good plug, easy to find, and inexpensive.

No reason your stuff won't work on a 383. Do your homework and figure what the compression ratio will be, the computation changes from the difference in stroke. I see in another thread that you have ordered the Dart SHP heads, good choice!

Some guy has l98 heads off a zz4. Selling both brand new never used for $500. What do you think about them?
