I did. Removal of the old stripping is the worse part of the job. you need to remove all of the old glue. Bascially you need to cut it off, but you probably end up scratching the black sticker that covers the glass in that area. To repair that you need the black paint they use in autoglass-shops and paint it on. To make sure it was all equal in color I just remove the entire sticker and repainted it.

Oh and something else. don't glue the part of the weatherstrip where the bolts go through like I did. You need to be able to adjust it inward or outward to fit your window glass. Luckily it kinda worked out for me, although I glued it in that place to prevent leakage.

How do you adjust the t top weatherstrip where it meets the door glass
to move inward? I have loosened the screws and cannot see how
the weatherstrip can move as the screws just pass thru it.

I prefer using the latex weatherstrips from Lone Star Caliper.

I use the 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover to remove any old glue.

These can be touchy due to how you have to install them...and using the soft latex style w/s...I have not run into too many issues that would cause for a concern.

If you have any questions...PM me and we can get together on the phone. the choice is yours.

You have to get the weatherstrip to come away from the t-top so it can move. Sometimes they are really sealed to it and ...depending on what type of w/s you have...can tear. when it is away from it...you can look and see the in and out slot for the screws and see if you have movement available.

The metal has a slot. You might need to remove some of the rubber to get movement in the slot area.

I did mine but I'm not sure if I did it right? Used a razor blade and utility knife to cut the weather striping off. Took about 3 hours and the new weather striping went on easy!
