If it is the original clutch, you will probably wear it away quickly. I replaced mine on my '76 last year. I used a McLeod Super Stock which is 20-30% stiffer than stock.

Sorry, I disagree. This same clutch was used with the 454 BB 74's and I'm using a brand new stock Sachs clutch in my Super T-10 with no slippage whatsoever, running about the same horsepower in modified L48. Sure the race clutches will always handle drag race style action and heavy horsepower, but I don't think 350 HP will necessarily be a detriment to what the OP is running and he won't have to deal with the heavier action in daily driving.
Mine isnt the factory clutch just a stock replacement i installed last winter. I just dont want to have to do it again( on my back by myself) if it wont hold up.
my original clutch after 120k miles was worn down to the rivets. This is the fact upon which I based my statement.
Notice that the OP said stock T10 clutch. To me the says 30+ year old clutch.
It wasn't the original clutch he replaced, but another clutch he installed last winter. I'd be curious as to what brand of clutch the OP put in, that failed after less than a year? Was it a poor quality clutch? Not set up right? Or does he like to drive his Corvette hard (nothing wrong with that, you just have to replace stuff more often)?
Also, if I get 120K out of an original clutch, then I'd be good with that! Especially in a V8 powered car, that begs to be driven hard. Unless you're very gentle and drive carefully, then I'd expect more miles out of it.
No....my rear main seal and trans front seal leaked and soaked my clutch disc and i had to replace it.......i bought a stock replacement. Im just asking if it would hold up or if i should upgrade when i have motor out....be alot easier to change of course. I cant remember name for sure but i think it was a saks clutch...ill have to check papers.
