have any of you guys had your 78 and up windows tinted and what did you pay. had a quote for 499 i thought that was ridiculous.

$499.00 is way to much, I was just quoted $75 at one shop and $80.00 at another for just 2 windows.
Add $100.00 more for your rear window.

i spoke to a friend in the D.C area and he said it isn't a simple job but for $499.00 he wouldn't let him do it , because he is obviously smoking crack

Apparently, the tint place you went to was going to have to hire a midget so that they could get the rear window done.
Go to another place that already has a midget...
$200 or so might be a reasonable price, considering the size and [in]accessibility of that rear window.

got it done $200.00 . next week getting clear heat resisting film on windshield with tint strip and same clear film on glass tops. and with the money i saved ordered an aluminum radiator. money left over.
