Side mirror passenger side 72

Im planning to fix on my 72 on the passenger side a side mirror
do I need to fix reinforcement or just drill away and fix it with the screws,

If the mirror is loose and you see no external screws you have to remove the inner door panel to determine what has to be done.

I forgot to mention that my vette didn't come with the right hand side mirror so its gona be a new job

Put one on my 76 last year, and it came with a pattern that I put on the door and drilled from the outside. Screwed in the mounting plate, then mirror attached. Didn't have to do any work from the interior, and no reinforcement was necessary.

Measure the location of the driver's mirror. Use the same dimensions on the passenger's side. Most of the passenger side mirror kits use wellnuts to attach the mirror base. Use the mirror base as a template for marking the hole centers.
