'81 with new battery, no electric power at all
A friend was out in her '81 Corvette yesterday, and the car stopped while at a light. She could not get it started, as there was no electric power. She ended up having it towed home, and a neighbor friend, who owns a C5, helped her install a brand new battery. She said he was very careful to clean the battery cable terminals before installing. I don't think he cleaned cables or checked connections on the other ends of the cables. The new battery did no good. Still no electric power, no lights, etc. Another friend of hers, in the local Corvette club, told her she may have a bad main fuse.
Is this possible? Is there a main fuse that controls all the electric power in the fuse box?
Any other main things to look for that would cause this problem?
Thank you for the help.

Fuse links are on the tarter, its a piece of wire spliced onto the main engine harness where it attaches to th big terminal on the starter. There is also a white molex connector on he same harness between the passenger side head and the firewall, its a weak spot. All the feed wires go through there. They burn from time to time, not hard to fix.
