Muncie m21 problem


to not want to shift from neutral to any gear... what gives?
Ever change the gear oil?
Shifter ever been cleaned? They are exposed under the car to all sorts of weather and flying debris.
Clutch adjusted properly? Could the clutch not disengaging completely be an issue?
Just some random thougths.

Sounds like your input shaft might be continuing to rotate when you depress the clutch. If your input shaft is not rotating, (with the engine on or off), the syncro rings easily line up the shift collar. If all is functioning correctly, depressing the clutch SHOULD allow the input shaft to cease rotation.
Lots of things can allow the input shaft to rotate, including:
Incorrect clutch adjustment.
Old, thick sticky oil on disc.
Bad pilot bearing.
Fragmented disc material trapped.
Warped, cracked, damaged pressure plate.
