Engine belts, L48 w/ AC.. lengths?

Engine belts, L48 w/ AC.. lengths?
I'm re-assembling and I have two belts. One is about an inch or so longer then the other. Which belt should go to the AC and which belt goes to the Alt.? I'm not quite ready to install the AC so I don't want to put the wrong belt on the Alt. side.

A/C belt is often wider than the other belts. A/c belts are often the "17" series...while power steering, alt, smog pump are "15" series. The 15 and 17 are describing the width...and the other three numbers describes the length...such as 15545. !& series belts are wider..thus stronger....and fit in the groove of the A/C compressor very well...and not sink into the groove...but basically be flush with the outer edge of the pulleys.
