my brakes are great, work perfectly. All is new except proportional valve. BUT after I release pedal - brakes are still in action and it takes about 1-2 seconds when they are fully released. Brake pedal aslo returns slowly - I have tried to help the pedal to come up with my other foot but I have felt a lot of resistance. Any idea?
To begin with, is you brake fluid in the reservoirs clear and clean looking? When you say all is new, does that include the flexible brake lines that goto the calipers?
Your hoses are swelling shut not allowing the fluid to return. Don't buy cheap hose's or you will be doing it again in a few years. A good quality Goodyear hose is available on E-Bay in a kit for all 4 wheels.
Also all brakes lines are new, steel and robber. All purchased from Eckler´s.
Brake fluid is reservoir is crystal clear but I have noticed it being quite dark in rear right brake caliper - so this suggest rear flex line going bad – even 18 months old. I guess you might be right about cheap replacement!
I guess I start replacing all flex lines and see what happens.
