I port matched the intake to the head using the intake gasket as a template. The trick I used when installing the intake was to RTV only the head side of the intake gasket,set the intake on and only snug up the bolts. When the RTV is dry overnight,remove the intake,RTV the top side of the gasket,and RTV the #@%#& out of the end rails. Then install the intake and torque in several stages. Works great. I found if you RTV both sides at once,when you torque it down,the gasket tends to squirm out of position.

FYI a quick test to check for a breached intake gasket is to plug the pcv valve grommet with a cork, take a vacuum/pressure gauge and plumb it into the breather grommet. If all is well you should build about 5 psi of pressure. If you develop a vacuum you know that you have a sealing issue.
