I have a beige 80 vette .I it has newer suspension parts ,needs better shocks .it has a ok rear with 3.08 gears ,works great with the built 700r4 .it has a ok 427 sbc ,needs a mild roller cam and single plane intake .the body needs work ,and the back of the frame is rusty .I found a local 1980 vette ,pretty much stock .its body is better ,and the frame is rust free ! I would like to swap all my current good stuff to the better frame .any input would be greatly appreciated .I plan on selling old beige with a the drivetrain from the new 1980 .whitey the new 1980 needs a new steering ram and door mirror adjusters .

Go for it. I'm doing the same thing with a pair of 77's at the moment. It's a lot of work, but I hope it will pay off in the end.
Not complaining, but train-of-thought messages on the forum are a little hard to understand sometimes. More complete sentences and decent punctuation really help us old guys understand what you are getting at...

sorry I am drinking .with the power levels I have I have reservations about my rear pumpkins .I hate to push the 1980-82 chassis with too much power .but I love the weight of the 1980-82 .my current frame is flaky .it is $2800-4000 for another frame .I plan to sell the left over vette for $4500 .it will have new suspension bushings and good parts.
