YES.
The large purple wires that are attached to it will be a closed circuit when the switch is in park or neutral. In any other gear..these wires should be open. The pink and light green wires are for your reverse lights. An ohm meter or continuity tester will aid in checking the switch. It does not need to be disconnected to test.
