Default Fuel flow interruption

I have a 1973 Corvette. Yesterday On speed between 60 to 70 mph, I have fuel flow interruption which makes my Corvette going forward & slowing down continually. Just like hitting the gas pedal & releasing continually. Why is happening with my Corvette? It happened once before, and then my car was back to normal running smooth. The problem is back again.

I am sure others will chime in... but...

Clogged fuel filter?
Mechanical fuel pump failing?
Contaminants in the fuel line?

Does this only happen at speed though? If you run the engine in the garage and at the same RPM as your highway speeds, do you get the same results?

Might have a little water in the gas.

GRipp 73. It is only when I start driving at the beginning, which always happen and at speed through. That reduces speed, just like it is getting weak.

You say only at the beginning. Are you allowing enough time for the engine to warm up and the choke to fully open? Is the engine stock and the carburetor is a Quadrajet?
