Default Headlight door problem-'72 BB A/C

My headlight doors both work properly in manual and headlights on mode. But, after the car sits for a while after being driven with the lights off one door opens. It stays open for couple of days without the car being driven and then closes by itself.

Any thoughts on where/what to check would be greatly appreciated.

Check the vacuum relay valve for that specific headlight.

EasyMike, Thanks for the quick reply. I started reading up and looked for two headlight actuator relays but there appears to be only one ( located on the center line of the headlight surround panel ) with single open and close vacuum lines each going to a tee and from this tee a lines go to the headlight on each side. While the car is a '72 I can see it has had a front clip replaced. Maybe this is from a different year.

Anyhow, I have trouble understanding how with common vacuum lines from the relay how one headlight works differently from the other. Am I missing something?

68s used only one relay under the nose and tee'd to both lights. 69 and up cars had a relay for each light. One will work; two is better.

I thought 68 and 69 had one relay.
