Surprisingly enough, the 69 is one car that I can enjoy and not worry about driving it anywhere (breaking down). I only have to worry about rain. I hate water spots. Washington, go figure. :D
Drove it yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks. The only things I know of that are wrong with the car are:
1. Driver's door does not turn on the interior lights, although the "door ajar" on the console lights up.
2. "head lamps" light stays on after head lights are in the up position.
Just put the 406 in last month and already clocked 2000 miles. The last 355 clocked 130,000 miles and was still going strong. In 3 years I'll be pulling the 406 to freshen up,and the point is..........
Why would you build a sports car that thrills you into a coma, and store it in the garage under a tarp while you drive the Olds every day?
From: Inside every color vette there is a blue one trying to come out!
Re: Whose car is running today? (1LE)
Yep. Ran it the entire week before the 4th, including "drive your vette to work day" and ran fron Dallas to OKC that friday night and ran approx 1400 miles round trip on the Stars and Stripes tour up to Bowling Green, then back home...only problem I had was some fouled plugs...replaced them and she is running like a raped ape once again.
NOPE. :cry Hopefully I'm about a week away. The longest trip I have taken is from Orlando to Cocoa Beach (about 50 miles) that was getting it home after buying it !! :D
Just wondering what percentage of folks here actually have cars they can go get in today, fire up, and drive for a 100 mile trip.
Both of my Vettes are ready to be fired up and driven for whatever distance!!!

Well I have to correct myself.... I wouldn't drive my 68 in very cold weather because the heater is not connected... However - it's never really cold here in South Florida!!!
Runs and sounds great, drove it 50 miles in 116* weather yesterday on the 101 and the coolant temp only got up around 200* which is about what the pavement was.
